Tejas Pugalia
Born in Nagpur, India. Tejas is a 17-year old children's education activist, high school student and an international debater and jigsaw puzzler. Coming from a small city, Nagpur, Tejas saw a lot of underserved children in his city, being deprived of their education. Motivated, Tejas became committed to advocate for the rights of underserved children. Tejas has spoken at various local, nationsal and international events, earning recognition from numerous organizations and receiving several prestigious awards for his efforts.
In 2021, Tejas founded OneStepBrighter, with an aim to enroll 1 million underserved children in schools and provide them with quality education by 2030. In 2023, Tejas researched, started and became the face of a nationwide policy to improve access to education, and has spoken at multiple national and international forums.

Initiative
In 2021, Tejas Pugalia started OneStepBrighter with a simple goal: improve access to education and improve the quality of education for children in underserved communities. He wanted every child to access education regardless of the barriers they faced. The OneStepBrighter initiative is all about empowering children in underserved communities through education, and remove them from the clutches of child labour, trafficking, etc.
